Only in Bangladesh...
Does the word 'karap', yes, sound it out!, mean 'bad'.
Do you have to check your toilet seat for cockroaches.
Do you have exposed wires all over the place.
Does your housekeeper step on cockroaches with bare feet, thinking nothing of it.
Does a small grocery shop cost you more than a string of pearls.
Does 'yes' often mean 'ok', 'maybe' or flat out 'no'.
Are potholes filled with whatever happens to by lying around... Rubbish, bricks, Glass...
Do candles become more valuable than coffee.
You get the gist! I'll add more soon, my housemate and I are forever saying 'Only in Bangladesh' when things go wrong or unexpected, it's like this place is turned upside-down!!!
Love and hugs from Kim in Dhaka
